The Activebackcare team offer assessment, diagnosis and development of individualised treatment plans to maximise function.

What is an Accredited Hand Therapist?

Hand Therapy is as specialised therapy service that can be provided by a physiotherapist or occupational therapists who undergoes further study and supervision. It involves evaluation and testing to assess the injured limb from which a specific treatment program can be designed. A variety of specialised treatment techniques are used to achieve these goals. The Australian Hand Therapy Association provides accreditation to applicants who meet high standards in continuing education, contribution of research and clinical experience.

Hills Family Physio includes an accredited hand therapist who specialises in the diagnosis of hand therapy conditions and injuries. Our hand therapist can recognise the importance of accurate diagnosis, individualised treatment approaches and specific rehabilitation programs to help you to overcome your injury and get you back to doing all the things you love.

Friendly, professional and caring treatment is provided by physiotherapists and occupational therapists with additional training in hand therapy. All of our hand therapists have a strong commitment to ongoing education and training, and work with the treating doctors to help every patient achieve a full recovery and maximum function.
